Somewhere in the people forest of my mind, the sun shines through where once there was a tree.

At the age of 40, Stephen passed peacefully in his home on November 18, 2016. He was predeceased by his brother Patrick, and is survived by his mother Kathleen Robinson, father Danny Robinson, brothers: Alexis (wife Natalie and three sons), Troy (wife Regina and two sons), Darrin (wife Shannon, three daughters and one son), Danny (wife Britney and three sons).

Stephen was ambitious, energetic, a thinker and a wanderer. He spread love and kindness everywhere and to everyone he came in contact with. He was a gorgeous, gentle child, full of mischief and love. He was an excellent scholar who loved music and sports, and at the age of five found his passion and talent for baseball when he performed a rare triple play.

As a teenager, Stephen worked two jobs; as a dishwasher, and at his own cleaning company. His innovation and strong work ethic helped him to buy and rebuild his beloved split window Volkswagen van that he nicknamed ‘Baby Blue’. The most treasured feature in his car was the stick shift he carved out of an actual baseball.

But for someone who lived with such grace, his was the hardest of lives. Diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia, Stephen suffered the most serious of mental illnesses for over 23 years. He fought upstream every day, always putting forth his greatest effort to be the best. He was among the bravest, most courageous of us all. At times he was like a rowboat without oars on the ocean, but he always knew his family were his anchor on shore.

Stephen will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
