It is with heartfelt sadness that we share the news of our mother’s passing. With the love & presence of her family by her side we said good-bye to our dear mother as she passed away peacefully. She was an amazing, brave, and fun loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, & wife to our recently departed father, Manuel. She devoted her life and love to her family, church & held strong to her faith.

She is predeceased by her father Francisco Martins, mother Virginia Martins, brothers John & Fernando & her beloved son, Mario (Kathy). She is survived by her dear sister Julietta Coursa & many nephews & nieces in Portugual, loving daughters Maria Frias (John), Virginia, Isabel Allan (Mark) & son Victor along with her grandchildren Robert (Michelle), Graham (Twyla), Nadine (Zach), Brandon, Brianna, Shelby, Conner and her great grandchildren Milan, Kahlese, Paighton, Cadence, all of who she adored.

She will be deeply missed and her memory will live forever in our hearts! We thank the many health care providers of the BC Cancer Clinic, RJH & most of all her family doctor, Dr. Tony S. Grewal who provided the most wonderful and compassionate care for our mother for many years! Please join us in a Celebration of Life service to be held, Friday January 27th @ 2:00 pm at the Church of Nazarene, 4277 Quadra Street. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the BC Cancer Clinic in her memory.
