<div itemprop="description">MARGARET ANN (RITA) HINDLEY <br> <br>It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mom, Margaret Ann (Rita) Hindley, on Thursday September 29, 2016. <br> <br>Mom was born on April 3,1927 in Fort MacLeod, Alberta to Rene and Mary Couillard. Mom grew up on a farm in southern Alberta the oldest of four children. Mom rode a horse to the country school and later attended school in Fort MacLeod. As a young adult mom moved to Calgary to work and there met the love of her life Andrew Hindley. Mom and Dad were married on July 19, 1948. As mom and dad moved around the province they had 4 children in four different towns. Mom was a loving and attentive mother, and wife. She was a guide and brownie leader, enjoyed bowling, baking and loved to dance. After all of her children were in school mom worked at Canada Post both in Cranbrook and Chilliwack, and worked for many years at Woodward’s in Victoria. Mom loved to travel. Mom and Dad took their 5th wheel south for over 20 years, as well as enjoyed multiple trips to Mexico and Hawaii. <br> <br>Mom was always on the go, she was never one to sit around! Whether it was to meet her son every morning for coffee; or workout twice a week at jazzercise; or attend socials at her townhouse complex; or participate in church and sorority events; she was never one to miss an opportunity to socialize. Mom especially enjoy many special times and vacations with her four children, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was very committed to her family and living life to the fullest. <br> <br>Rita was predeceased by her loving husband Andy in July 2004, her younger sister Faye Beaupre and brother Joseph Couillard. She leaves to mourn her four children. Lynn Dakin, Kelowna; Dauneen (Perry) LeRose, Cranbrook; Murray (Joan ) Hindley Victoria; Teresa (Al) Moir Victoria and her sister Yvonne Nelson in Calgary. <br> <br>Funeral Mass will be held at St Joseph The Worker Parish, Friday October 7th at 1:00pm, followed by a reception in the church hall. <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
