Janice Poncelet March 8, 1953 – November 10, 2016
It is with great sadness the family of Janice Poncelet, age 63 of Victoria, BC, announce her sudden passing on Thursday, November 10, 2016.
Born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Kramer) and John Poncelet. Janice will be missed by her husband of 40 years Allan Schell; sister Carol, brothers Kevin, Neil, and extended family and friends.
Janice will be remembered for her gift of giving and always helping others. Active in her community and abroad she was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal for her volunteer work in Africa. Janice held a CPA-CMA designation and worked for the Capital Regional District for over many years. She used her skills and talent to teach accounting to municipal workers and was the past treasurer and accountant at Friends of St. Ann’s Academy.
Janice will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street. Please come in casual attire. Interment will take place at St. Anthony's Cemetery near Meacham, SK.
