<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that the Dean family announces the passing of Richard John Dean, December 28, 1948 - April 6, 2016. Richard will be sadly missed by his mother, Pauline Dean, his daughter, Emma Jayden Hohertz (Oliver &amp; Michelle), and brother, Terry Dean (Sandra, Kristin, Gregory, Andrew, Julie &amp; Stuart) Predeceased by his partner, Janet Lily Woo. <br /> <br />He will be forever remembered by his cousins Maureen and Martin McFarland as well as David and Bobby Hill and Mary Ann Carnegie (Les), Marie Harvie, Johnny Wenman (Marie) plus Billy Ploughman <br /> <br />Fondly remembered by his friends Betty and Fred, Jonathan, Susan, Rose and Will &amp; Nicole and neighbours of Clovelly Terrace. <br /> <br />Richard was born in Toronto Ontario. After completing High School he lived in Waterloo for 4 years to get his Bachelor of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. He then returned to Toronto for a while and then moved to Vancouver, BC to attend the University of British Columbia to get his Masters of Mathematics in 1974. Richard met Rose, his first wife, in 1979 while working for the Government of British Columbia. <br /> <br />He was always spirited and loved cars (Datsun 2000, Suzuki motorcycle, Toyota Supra and a Nissan G35X). Richard had always wanted to own a second seasonal home on Lake Simcoe in Ontario but his plans never occurred due to illness. He was drawn there because of the great summers he had there as a kid. <br /></div>
